The decision to move to a retirement community is one of the most important decisions you’ll make during your lifetime. Our site is designed to introduce you to three senior living communities located in upstate New York. Contact us to request more information about any of our communities.
We offer opportunities for anyone 62 and older to enjoy a lifestyle free of homeownership responsibilities and concern about future changes in health and abilities. Established as non-profit corporations and governed by local Boards of Directors, all three communities share a common mission and purpose: to keep seniors active and independent. Each community offers independent living with opportunities and lifestyle choices unlike any you’d realize by remaining in a house, condominium complex or apartment.
Brookside Senior-Living Community, in operation since 1993, is located in Lowville, New York. Lowville is at the edge of the Adirondack Mountain region and is the county seat for agriculturally-rich Lewis County. Brookside completed its third major expansion in 2004 and an additional smaller expansion project in 2006. With these last expansions complete, there are 41 apartments and 39 patio-style homes on the campus.
Ives Hill Retirement Community opened in 1998 and is located in Watertown, New York, in Jefferson County. The Ives Hill campus consists a congregate building housing 44 apartments. This building is surrounded by 24 duplex-style patio homes and 8 single-family patio homes. The Ives Hill campus borders a golf course on the west and is within one mile of Samaritan Medical Center. Fort Drum, home to the 10th Mountain Division, is just 12 miles northeast of Watertown. As well, Watertown is only 30 miles south of the Canadian border, is convenient to the beautiful Thousand Islands region, the St. Lawrence River Seaway, and Lake Ontario where world-class fishing tournaments take place annually.
Vinecroft Retirement Community is located in Clarence Center, New York, a suburb of Buffalo, in Erie County. Vinecroft opened in 2002 and is the newest of the three communities. Situated in a beautiful country-like setting, Vinecroft is only minutes to a world of shopping along Transit Road and many medical facilities, including Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Vincecroft has a congregate building with 44 apartments and 16 duplex-style patio homes on it's campus. On the same campus with Vinecroft is Bristol Village, a new assisted living community that offers traditional assisted living services and specialized services for those with memory impairment.
